Grandpa

Grandpa is a multi-channel video in grief of artist's grandfather who passed away in 2017. Starting this project right after her grandfather's death, the artist recorded her grandfather's funeral in Hong kong, as well as those of her family and hometown. Through the interviews of artist's father, uncle and aunt, the video slowly reveals the life between a hard-working, silent father and his children, and a diasporic history of a worker who smuggled to Hong Kong for opportunities from mainland China.
